Re: Hi everybody, i'm new and i would like to introduce myself.

Welcome, Aztec.

I don't make alot of posts here, but I always check back once in awhile. It's hands down the best discussion on the net.

Fighting games are my number one favorite genre. My...

Re: Linux PC or special Linux for PS3?

My Linux super-geek friend told me that IBM just finished integrating Cell-support into the Linux kernal.

Apparrently all existing linux applications will now run on the PS3 (assuming an open...

Re: New Leak Shows Nintendo Wii will Rule all Consoles...

It was fun to read.

If you consider a steaming pile of wishful daydream horse shit "fun".

Which I do. =)

Re: New Review Posted: Rogue Trooper

I saw a clip of it and it looked so fun. The review was well written and informative, as usual.

Metal Arms was one of my favorites of 2004. If I get a chance, i'll try Rogue Trooper.

Re: PS3 Unveiled!

That is an alright article.

Can't think of any good reason to throw Sony the benefit of the doubt on this one. As a wary consumer I'd have to consider the Blu-Ray movie playback on the 499 model...

Re: PS3 Unveiled!

Totally missed that post. Good point.

They may just have delivered that. The 360 is certainly capable of everything the PS3 is.

But!

So far the 360 is being marketed and pushed as a game...

Re: PS3 Unveiled!

Thats the same information I keep coming up with when I search, but unfortunatly it's all just people takling about it in forums! Not that I doubt your assessment, but I just wanted to come up with...

Re: PS3 Unveiled!

Nah, I don't think so. As far as I know component cables are up to the task of at least 1080i and there is some debate over whether or not 1080p is possible. Either way the resolution restriction is...

Re: PS3 Unveiled!

Ain't nothin wrong with that!

I agree that if all you plan to do is play games with it, PS3 represents a poor value. The descision to get an XBox 360 just became alot easier for a whole lot of...

Re: PS3 Unveiled!

You hit the nail on the head there. I can't connect the dots. Sony's stragegy has not been fully revealed yet. It's up to them to connect the dots and provide a clearer picture of a desirable product...

Re: PS3 Unveiled!

If it is a misstep, I'd chalk it up to letting an engineer (Kutagari) direct the product unchecked.

But I don't think it's a misstep. Sony is using the Playstation brand to launch into a new type...

Re: The dust has settled a bit, now, what are you going to buy?

I'm really excited for the PS3. I see alot of complaints about the price.

I was suprised at the price. It's alot for a game console.

But the truth is -like it or not- it's not a game console...

Re: PS3 Unveiled!

Um... I think, uh...

I think it's a pretty fair price.

I'm posting on the one computer in this house that lets me post on message boards and surf the web. Sure the Gamecube and the Genesis...

Re: PS3 to Cost $900 to Manufacture?

Re: PS3 to Cost $900 to Manufacture?

There's a long, long thread about this being discussed over at Beoynd3D, where I sometimes lurk. The general consensus is that the article is bunk. Either faked, poorly informed, or both.

Re: Post here when you NEVER beat a game. I mean it!

That is one of those games for me. A game that I believe I may have been better at than anyone else in the world.

Playing on Phantom (fastest) if I wasn't in first by the beginning of the fifth...

Re: Battletech: Crescent Hawks Inception

In the tabletop game you could drop much larger mechs with some lucky dice rolls. But if you are talking about the AI, then yeh, that was lacking. On the other hand, I don't hink it got much better...

Re: Battletech: Crescent Hawks Inception

The difference in the mechs you mentioned is key. With Mechwarrior 2 they introduced the ability to freely configure the chassis and suddenly the only difference between mechas was the tonnage.

Re: Battletech: Crescent Hawks Inception

Call me crazy, but I think that and the origional Mechwarrior are still the hands-down two best Battletech games available.

From what I remember, the controls are really simple. Just up. down,...

Re: Electroplankton Anyone?

My friend has had the import for quite awhile. I've spent some time with it.

It's common knowledge that it's not a game but less people don't realize that's it's not a music generator either. It's...
