Break Media = annoying
 

The Break Media interference ad is horrible if you try to use the forums on iPad. Makes using the site almost unbearable. I understand the need for ads, so I can only hope that this particular ad method nets GC TONS of money.

me too. Recently I have to disable and re-enable Adblock plus in my Chrome browser because it cuts through it. And then I still have to refresh the screen every time I open a new link.

I've brought this up with Chi and I'm trying to see if there's anything we can do since we don't have full control over the ads on the site. Hopefully we can get rid of it, since it makes the site all but unreadable on mobile devices.

This is one of the big reasons I stopped visiting GameCritics as much as I used to, even though I love it so much. Whether I am on mobile or desktop, I get the Break Media ads every single time I load a page.

Serious gaming journalism is never going to be a money maker, so you might as well treat the site like the hobby that it is.

I've been using Chrome and the AdBlock Plus beta app and so far, like- right now, there's no issues with breakmedia at all.

It's back. Every page load. I'm typically accessing via an iPad, so no way around it. I had to sit through a blank screen of nothing but the "we know guys" statement just to create this post.

Gotta get this fixed.
