Kill the dragons base which is located straight above your town/city (you have to go around the mountain at the top). Then you will soon get enough money to get a temple, the easiest way to get to holy ground is to go across the river on your right and go up a little then go into the forest and you will find a holy ground which is unprotected use that to build your temple.
Good Luck

You get the lords too go around and kill the serpents bases usually they spawn 4 when they die but that shouldn't be too overwhelming if you get your lords too flee.

i know that the thread is kinda old, but since i just finished the royal something mission with the damn dragon i wanted to share my newly gained wisdom ^^

i had to restart like 5-6 times, but now i know the trick.

key to win the map is to build only south of the palace at all. in the beginning, every building north or left and right of the palace will be destroyed pretty soon.

for starters, place a tower about one peasant`s house size away from the palace at his lower left and lower right edge. the marketplace is placed straight south below the little white rock there. south of it, the hall of lords will be placed.

next, you have to build a tower at the righten site of the inn. later, another one has to be build at a little greater distance to the palace on the other site (left of it). these two towers might get attacked by the dragon. thats why you have to grade em up asap. as long as the dragon is not in range, a small defense flag for like 100-300 on the towers will help your peasants to survive to finish the towers..

its pretty important to have an eye on the number of peasants and build projects, since its pointless to place new buildings when nobody is there to actually build em. thats why only 3 build projects simultanously make sense - 2 peasants per project. keep in mind, that peasants will try to repair damaged buildings, what reduces the number of "available" peasants for the projects.

anyway, i went for the hall of lords, since i had some trouble with the serpents. but a lv 8 ranger can kill a whole nest, next he got a cleric to help him. the thing is, that there are sometimes waves of serpents heading for your palace. these waves kinda directly head for the edges of your palace. thats why you have to build towers there to stop em. otherwise you will get overrun by them, since they are joint later by minotaurs and the vermin from the sewers and graveyard.

as soon as you have four towers, the map starts to get easy ^^ the first two towers from the beginning secure the whole southern part of your town (straight south, no monsters are approaching). the other two will need some backup later, i prefere to put a dwarven tower right in front of the palace (north). dont mind the northern houses by the way, the will get destroyed frequently, but who cares ^^

try to upgrade your palace pretty soon, too and get the
use your heroes to destroy all serpent nests you can find while increasing your defense line so it wont collapse when the dragon attacked and the serpents come in a wave.

when building guilds and hiring rookie heros, its a good tactic to put a defense flag on a lvl 1 hero to have him protected by the cleric(s). for the end fight, i found dwarves really usefull since they have a pretty high magic resistance. paired with enough clerics (3+), they can take the dragon down at about lvl 12+. but before that, you have to visit the witch - and better save the game ^^

Re: Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim Tips FAQ Help Tricks Hints Cheats Strategy Gui

I believe the key to this mission and many others is a Rogue Lord. They are cheap to hire (which is key!), respond well to attack flags and explore flags sort-of, have lots of HPs and a powerful attack. They also usually have enough sense to not get killed.

To get one, play an earlier mission, use nothing but like 10 rogue guilds or so. Then don't kill anyting and let them level for 30 minutes or so.

Once you win, you want to look and find the rogue with teh BEST STATS! The key stats of course are their Melee and their Stamina...the others are worthless.

Take the best rogue. Repeat so you can get two strong rogue lords.

Next, replay mission and get both lords and let them level to around 30.

Now you are good to go. For the dragon mission for example,

market far to the south (to avoid dragon), tower to the north a bit, and a lords hall to the south. Hire both rogues as soon as possible. Put attack flags on any Lairs that you see... a few hundred does the trick.

Make sure they explore where the Trader site is. When you find one, do this:
a) Build the trader post.
b) Put a 500 gold Guard flag on it before it is even built.
c) Put a guard tower next to it between it and your town.
d) Upgrade the post to level 2 as soon as its built.
e) upgrade the guard tower as soon as built.
f) Cancel the guard flag.

Now you will get 500 gold shipments every minute or so, which is KEY for winning ANY mission! Without this gold, rezzing your guys and rebuilding stuff will overwhelm your moneymaking ability.

I am not an expert by any means, but my 2 rogue lords have successfully gotten through quite a few missions. Otherwise an early Werewolf or Dragon will kill tons of your low level heroes.

Re: Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim Tips FAQ Help Tricks Hints Cheats Strategy Gui

Mmmk yal's strategies are good and all but... the best thing i found for dragon level was just to start off with 2-3 towers, wizards guild hall of lords, and immediately recruit my 23 rogue. Then a blacksmith and marketplace in the back for early income. With the 23 rogue in action there is no need to waste early gold on the worms. I then proceeded to upg mage guild and get ice arrow cause mages are useless without that. I then built warriors guild and clerics guild and made 3 of each heros. The best part about not killing the worms is they make for very good experience early on. After your heroes are 8+ destroy them and just save gold for elves/dwarves guilds and build them along with your other lords. Of course upgrade things as they go... making rogues and rangers is completely pointless in this mission. Build a rogues guild and get extortion and poison weapon only. And since you have less heroes they level faster as well. Theres no since in massing heroes. You can complete every level of this campaign with less than 10 heroes. I only had 9 normal heroes then 3 lords for the level with the paladins and elves. Remember clearing the game as fast as possible will hurt you later. The longer you stay in a level the higher your lords will be. Rogues, Rangers, and Warrior lords are probably the best cause of how cheap they are, especially rogues.

Hi guys

Just a comment on the Dragon, I think that your strategy is a bit flawed. I just built all south of the castle and let the dragon attack the castle, he doesn't destroy it and its far easier than building towers every 5 minutes

Re: Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim Tips FAQ Help Tricks Hints Cheats Strategy Gui

It's actually not that difficult of a level.

Rafnir likes to fly into town, do about 1000-1200 dmg and leave. If you place an upgraded tower in his way, it will draw his fire, he will destroy it and then he'll wonder off again.

The key to winning is to get the two close trading posts up as soon as possible. Trading posts should always remain your #1 priority... they give you money, which, in turn, makes you invincible.

If your Heroes die at level 1-4 from Rafnir, it doesn't really matter, they're cheap to resurrect. Wait for him to leave, make sure you can build and upgrade the tower he destroyed and then resurrect your fallen hero. If you've placed your 'distraction tower' strategically, Rafnir should rarely kill a hero. Once Heros are level 5 and have started purchasing potions etc, Rafnir will send them flying before he kills them (annoying later, but helpful for now).

Focus on taking out one lair at a time. Be patient. If you take out two lairs, then you're going to have roughly 10 worms swarming your base at once.

Once you're feeling secure, either get the time going at 5x (letting your heroes all level up like crazy as the days zip past) or head for the witch.

Once you're this far... being patient isn't a requisite anymore. You should have 20+ heroes, (I stick to about 18 nowadays, but my first time through this level I had about 30 heroes) and they should all be level 10+. Now it's just a matter of putting bounties on the Gosts' heads and Rafnir's lair thereafter.

Destroying his lair will unleash swarms of wirms from his lair as well as off-screen. Ignore them. These are the last 20 seconds of the game... your city will manage that long. Place the biggest bounty possible on Rafnir... if you still have money in your coffers, then the bounty isn't large enouph.

You want every single Hero to rush at him. Don't defend your base... don't worry about anything but watching Rafnir's health plummet.

Once you've beaten the compain a few times, go back to this level and revel in how easy it is compared to some others.

How to complete the Imp Advisor Level.

Take out the Ogres.
Build up your economy and defences - lots of towers of all kinds are essentual and wait for the dragons.
Do not explore the map.
Take out the dragon lair when it is revealed.
Slowly build but your economy and heroes while defending against the demon hordes.
Explore the SouthEast quarter of the map and take out the hermit hovels and wolves lairs one by one.
Explore the far east up to the top corner. When the merchant approaches you can explore the rest of the map taking out the portals.
You will then be left with only the Imp Advisor and his elementals. Target one elemental at a time - your heroes should now be able to handle them easily.
For the Imp Advisor I needed to slow the speed way down and constantly heal or reserect my heroes. Lots of cash is required at this stage.

Re: Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim Tips FAQ Help Tricks Hints Cheats Strategy Gui

I found the only way to win this is a 2 centre strategy build fortifications to protect the east side of your castle and build all your guilds and economic buildings as far east as possible (over the ford directly east). Note that the defensive towers should be tightly grouped (3 normal towers, 3 mage towers and 2 dwarven ballista towers). The towers only job is to protect the mages guild, the east wall of the palace and themselves. The normal towers should be to the north of the others as this is where the elves come from. Elves with their bows can pick off one tower at a time. Normal towers are cheaper to rebuild and have a man at arms that can come out. Save the Sceptre of Siridian for the elves as these the most dangerous. It will kill many elves but only injure the few paladins.
Start with one guild as far east as possible (rangers or rogues) then get them to explore further east over the ford as far as the trading site. Get them to clear the lairs that threaten your trading post.
You need to concentrate now on your economy, defensive towers and upgrading your castle.
Once the above are done you should concentrate on building up your heroes, explore the map and eliminate all the bear and wolf lairs.
Now take out either the Paladins or the Elves. Their buildings are repaired rapidly so you will need to build a 2nd mages guild just out of range and mage towers these are to take out the repair serfs unless you do this you will never take out the castle. The Sceptre of Siridian can help but it is not enough.

Re: Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim Tips FAQ Help Tricks Hints Cheats Strategy Gui

Just wanted to post that the guy saying one researched guild will apply all the skills to the other heros in that guild is incorrect. That will only work if one dies, and a resurrected one from another guild takes his place in that home hall...which only happens if the resurrected hero's original guild is destroyed.

They only visit their own home guilds to learn skills, so if you have 3 ranger guilds and only one of them upgraded in skills, only the 3 rangers from the one guild you have upgraded will buy advanced skills. They'll get armor/potions and all that jazz from communal buying spots, but not the skills. It should work the way he said it does, and I thought it did for a few missions (well assumed, like hes doing probably). But then I decided to check, and I'm pretty sure having multiple guilds with 15-20ish level heros, with all the heros from 2nd and third guilds (unupgraded) with only the basic 2 or 3 skills, and master/expert armors/weapons and inventories full of magical potions and protection charms...well you get the idea. All those heros from the 2nd and third guilds didnt have the extra skills like I thought they would. To check just click on the guild, go to info, then go to residents, and right click on each resident to see its list. If you build multiple guilds and want them all to have skills, you'll have to buff em all.

Re: Majesty 2: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim Tips FAQ Help Tricks Hints Cheats Strategy Gui

I am doing the advanced level quests.

My priests and warriors are surviving very well.

But I am having trouble keeping my rangers, rogues and elves alive.

I have tried putting them in parties with healers and warriors.

I have done all the research at the blacksmith.

During the quests I give up on recruiting rangers and have to resort to exploring the map by putting attack flags on monsters near the end of my visable borders.

Any suggestions on how to make them more long lived.
