This new tournament takes place after some time has passed since the previous tournament. AM2 has taken the opportunity to age its cast of veterans. The power of the Naomi 2 arcade board allowed for amazing character rendering and details and it seems that little has been affected with the move to the PlayStation 2. The aged drunken master, Shun Di, now appears thin and frail to reflect his age. Jeffry McWild, on the other hand, looks more grizzly than ever, sporting realistic facial hair and an even more intimidating physique. Employing techniques refined in AM2’s own Shenmue series, facial animations and lip-synching promise to give authenticity to the dialogue and in game action.
