As I alluded to earlier, Sega has gone back to basics (basics being whatever was in Virtua Fighter 2 that made it so popular) to create Virtua Fighter 4. The controls in particular have been ported from Virtua Fighter 2. Once again, three buttons are all that you need—punch, kick and guard—as the cumbersome evade button from the third installment has been done away with. Moves have also been simplified so as to make them easier to execute and therefore make the game more accessible for more players.
