In your quest to create as much chaos and rampant destruction as possible, you are given ample tools with which to do so. Each character comes with a nice assortment of hand-to-hand combat skills sure to concur up memories of Double Dragon and other side-scrolling fighting games, but State Of Emergency encourages gamers to inflict the most damage with weapons. There are the traditional weapons the game like mace, molotov cocktails, flame-throwers, rocket launchers, grenade launchers, shotguns and machine guns to name a few. But there are also improvisational weapons as well, namely anything that isn't quite nailed. Bricks, park benches, trashcans and eventually dismembered bodyparts are at your disposal. Everything in sight is free game. If you have a rocket launcher and feel like destroying a few buildings then by all means do so. If looting stores or fire bombing cars is more your thing, that option is available to you as well. And let's not forget that you have license to attack, maim or kill every non-player character (NPC) in the game. As long as it prolongs the riot, State Of Emergency encourages you to do it.
