When all is said and done, THQ and Yukes look to have an immediate hit on their hands in WWF Smackdown 2. WWF popularity is at an all-time high and so is the demand for wrestling videogames. As I alluded to before, it is possible for this game to be a runaway hit with only cosmetic changes—a testament to the greatness of the original. And while it won't have the luxury of sneaking up on the competition the way its predecessor did, it certainly appears ready to stand its ground with all the necessary improvements to keep fans happy for a long time.
