There seems to be no end to the amount of improvements and changes Power Stone 2 makes over the original. Another major difference is in the the layout of the stages. Instead of one set location per bout, each battle now takes place over different multi-tiered progressive levels where each round ends with a some sort of a bonus time challenge. Featured in this screenshot is one of those time challenges where players must not only fight each other, but must also reach the top of the complex in a limited amount of time.
