The bulk of the storyline revolves around an entity known as The Blight that is gradually destroying the world. As was stated earlier, this is the main quest. Bethesda claims that this main storyline can be completed in about 40 hours, making it of above average length for a console RPG. However, it’s the hundred hours or more of side quests that are available that open the game up for anyone hoping for a true escape. This sort of diversity is a true rarity outside of massively-multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG) like Everquest and Ultima Online.
