Morrowind takes place on the island of Vvardenfell in the northeast most province of the Tamrielic Empire. Tamriel is a massive world that encompasses diverse topography and reportedly between fifty and as many as eighty cities. The sprawling terrain varies from snowcapped, mountainous regions to flat, desert plains to unexplored wilderness. There is also the standard assortment of dungeons, caves and ancient ruins for players to explore. These environments should provide ample opportunity for discovery and adventure for intrepid players, and is sure to make for numerous confrontations with enemies scattered about this world.
