This image best displays the level of detail in the game. Notice that the different components of the enemy soldier's uniform are actual polygnal objects and not drawn onto the texture that wraps his body. The environments and Snake also maintain a level of detail and realism that was impossible in the original Metal Gear Solid (MGS). This may or may not be an in-game screenshot, but it certainly represents the new horizons that the PS2 afforded Kojima.
