As indicated earlier, graffiti art is a major theme in the game. Green arrows like the one pictured in the screenshot indicate an area where a player can "tag-up." As in reality, a "tag" in Jet Grind Radio represents domination over a territory and rival gangs will attempt to jockey for that same position. It's up to players to protect their turf while marking new ones.
