Squaresoft has high hopes for Final Fantasy X and is projecting sales in the millions. It expects to sell 3.5 million copies in Japan, between 1.2 to 1.5 million in Europe and 1.4 to 1.8 million in the U.S. Many were skeptical when Squaresoft announced such numbers, but after Sony revealed that it had in fact sold over 10 million consoles worldwide, these don't look like such unrealistic expectations.
