This CG sequence shows both Squaresoft’s attention to detail as well as an evolution of sorts in terms of their character design. Where previous Final Fantasy games stressed a European look in both the characters and locales, Squaresoft has made a concerted effort to give Final Fantasy X a more Asian appearance and feel. Most locales are more rural and fantastic in their appearance.
