It wouldn’t be a Squaresoft game without extensive use of CG full-motion video footage. Given the power of the PlayStation 2, Squaresoft has limited the use of full-motion video CG sequences, but it has by no means eliminated them. The developer found that full-motion video CG was better suited for the large-scale events in the game. Regardless, it is still spectacular and is a testament to the skill of the artists employed at Squaresoft.
