Squaresoft promises the usual selection of supporting cast. They consist of an eclectic lot like Kimari, a beast-like character (seen in this screenshot), a sword fighter named Auron, a mage named Seymour (this name could change), a thief named Ryukku, and other mysterious characters named Wakka and Lulu. Long time Final Fantasy icons like Cid and Chocobos make return appearances. Cid's role is unknown, but the Chocobos are now a form of transportation and are rendered much more realistically this time around.
