Early impressions of Atlus' Demon's Souls

Early impressions of Atlus' Demon's Souls

Got my hands on a pre-release copy of Demon's Souls from Atlus today. It's certainly been one of my more anticipated titles, yet has remained a fairly large question mark. It's easy enough to get the gist, but as we all know, the devil is in the details… Fortunately, although I didn't have as much time to sink into it as I would have liked, the time I did have was extremely impressive—even moreso than I had anticipated after watching several videos available via the Internet.

Enchanted Arms – Review

Read review of Enchanted ArmsWith more technological tricks available than ever before, I'm waiting for someone to clear out all the effeminate amnesiac heroes and stale, overused clichés—the time is right for a boundary-busting title to shake things up and kickstart a Role-Playing renaissance. Although its formula is a little unusual... Enchanted Arms is not that game.

Chromehounds – Review

Chromehounds is an unusual entry to the "big robot" genre.  Rather than being fast, flashy, or even very stylish, it's about teamwork. For once, the idea of victory for one man against an army is disregarded in favor of a humbler, more cooperative approach to futuristic mechanized warfare.

Chromehounds

Game Description: Hunt like a pack, or die like a dog, in the Xbox 360's first mech warfare game.

Armored Core: Formula Front

Game Description: Armored Core: Formula Front delivers a hardcore sim experience with all-new features not available in the Japanese version. This Special Edition utilizes the complex AI designing and wireless head-to-head action of the original version, and adds action-based player combat interaction to give PSP players the intense fighting gameplay they crave from Armored Core. Building an unstoppable warrior to annihilate the competition has never been so much fun.

Armored Core: Formula Front – Review

This time around, FromSoft gave their high-tech third-person robot battling a much-needed shakeup in the transition from PS2 to PSP. The bulk of the game is intact with its insane amount of weaponry and parts to tinker with, the mech construction and fine-tuning still the same art form that it ever was.
