Who could have seen this coming?

Not that I can take credit for its poor reception or claim to have some sort of clairvoyance, but I saw this thing coming from a mile away. As soon as I was made aware of its existence I knew it had to bomb.

First of all, it is a movie based on a videogame; second, it stars actors who are just grateful to be working; and third, there weren't any pre-screenings or at least any pre-screenings that took place for critics were kept quiet.

Still don't see what the big deal is about Kristin Kreuk and how anyone thought she could carry a movie. How could anyone think the Chun-Li character would be enough to base a live-action movie on. It was all just a huge mistake that unsurprisingly is off to a poor start.

Ok, rant over.

The Rotten Tomatoes thing is interesting. I've never seen a movie get 00%. It's still early, and it have have happened with another movie, but again, not the best start for a movie with such an interesting title.

There were no critics'

There were no critics' screenings at all. I was thankful for this because it's 90 minutes less of my life wasted. Trust me, I waste more than enough already.

Seriously, what's with you guys that voted "It was great"? :D

More reviews are in and it seems that they are even more venomous than I would have even dreamed. It's like all of the Street Fighter fans are out in force to denounce this movie, even those from respected and established mainstream outlets.

I'm very curious about

I'm very curious about reading opinions here too. Come on, don't just vote - I want to see some writing here.

Maybe I should start posting in the forums already. =P
