Cosplay: Akuriko as Twilight Princess' Zelda

In honor of the launch of what is probably the last must-have Nintendo Wii title we'll ever see, and is surely the final Legend of Zelda game to launch on a Wii—The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword—here is a Zelda cosplayer that is hard to beat.

Nintendo partners with West Coast Customs for Mario Kart 7

You can usually count on Nintendo to do something unique to get the word out on a key franchise and tapping West Coast Customs to create two vehicles from Mario Kart 7 is just that. At the L.A. Auto Show, Nintendo will have an exhibit showing off both the game and two in-game vehicles.

PETA targets Mario over Tanooki suit

For those who don't know, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has taken on Nintendo and Super Mario because Super Mario 3D Land for the 3DS features a Tanooki suit. According to PETA, this as good a time as any to call attention to the plight of the adorable tanuki.

The new trailer for Grand Theft Auto V was revealed this week.

According to the trailer, the protagonist is a bad guy trying to get out of the life. Guess what? Things didn't or aren't working out. Cue music, explosions and car chases.

For October, G4 hosted its very first "Epictober Film Festival". This festival afforded G4tv.com's Creative Director Joe Lynch the opportunity to work with three talented directors to create three unique and inventive video game-inspired horror films. The first film of the festival was Sam Balcomb's The Hunt, the second was Drew Daywalt's Kart Driver and the third was Gregg Bishop's The Birds of Anger.

Video: Best five minutes of Amnesia: The Dark Descent ever

As part of Kristin's Extra-Life 24-hour gaming marathon she had agreed to play Amnesia: The Dark Descent and stream it live over the Internet. A commendable endeavor on many levels. Marathoning a game like that would be no small task for anyone. Alas, our Kristin couldn't do it. But all is not lost. She was recording the whole time and has left the video up on YouTube for the whole Internet to enjoy.

Video: Harrison Ford plays Uncharted 3 in Japan (Spoilers)

How would the man who played Indiana Jones feel about playing Naughty Dog's Uncharted 3? Well, naturally he'd be very excited and enjoy playing it very much.

Honestly, the video is a bit awkward. I don't know how handy Ford really is with a PlayStation 3 controller at home, but it doesn't look like he's very good in this video. Maybe it's the camera or the location, but it all looks a bit unnatural. Maybe it doesn't matter. All Sony wanted was to get Indiana Jones playing Nathan Drake from its new video game and it got it.

Video: Dead Island recreated in an apartment complex

I'm now convinced that Larry the Comic Book Enthusiast should totally have been a selectable character in Dead Island. His stamina, hygiene, usefulness and likeability won't ever be very high, but he would surely make up for it with funny quips and witty commentary and girlish screams. Something Techland should consider for the next DLC.

Video: Skyward Sword videos highlight new gameplay

It was either slow in the gaming news department the last couple of days or everyone really was blown away by the new Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword videos making the rounds. This coincides with recent first-hand impressions Nintendo afforded Western journalists that were kept out of Nintendo's September 13th press conference. And it seemed to have changed Skyward Sword's fortunes.
