Video: Is cosplay better in slow-motion?

This footage is courtesy of Angel James de Ocampo, cosplay cinematographer and conventioneer and was filmed at Japan Expo 2011 in Paris, France. Nice camera work. The biggest achievement has to be making people dressed as video game characters and walking around with plastic or paper weapons look cool while doing so. Well, maybe they can work on their fighting choreography though.

Mass Effect 3's N7 Rifle is now real

Mass Effect V7 Rifle by Harrison Krix

Harrison Krix builds things he finds in his favorite video games in his workshop. He is very good as evidenced by his latest creation, the N7 rifle. If you are envious and want to build your own, Krix, aka Volpin, posted a step-by-step guide of how he pulled this thing off. If you just want to look at pictures of this piece of gaming art from different angles, you can do that too.

It's not often that you get to play a part—however small—in the development or marketing of a game. BioWare is giving fans such an opportunity. Illustrating one of the ways social networks are actually useful, BioWare has launched a promotion where fans can vote via Facebook, on the "default female Shepard" that will be used in Mass Effect 3. Fans get to chose from six different looks—actually it's just different faces while the bodies remain the same—and you vote by liking the image that you want to see win.

Video: Navi's Song (Hey, Listen!)

Ever felt badly that Navi's love for Link went unrequited in The Legend of Zleda: Ocarina of Time? Yeah, me neither. Still, not a bad song.

Video: Mario dumps Pauline

Obviously, Mario was destined for bigger things. That meant a more desirable damsel in distress—why did Donkey Kong want Pauline anyway? But who knew their break-up was so bitter.

Video: Assassin's Creed: Revelations trailer in Lego

I'll admit that it isn't quite as impressive as he other video game memes with Lego, but as Lego videos go, this is still impressive for how close it gets to the original using blocky toy pieces and some clay.

Mom kills five-year-old son for breaking TV with Nintendo Wii remote

Nintendo Wii remote Image

Remember when we used to laugh at those stories of people flinging Wii-motes into television screens and through expensive windows? Those were pretty hilarious. Maybe it was because none of us really thought someone could get mad at themselves of someone else after doing something so silly. We certainly didn't think a parent could get upset a child for doing something so obviously an accident.
