Video: Lego Donkey Kong

Yeah, it's old, but I thought it was cute seeing someone using an classic toy like Legos to recreate a classic videogame like Donkey Kong.

Video: Jimmy Fallon previews some celebrity videogames

I can't help but think that given time this could really become a good late night program. Can you picture Leno, Letterman or even Conan attempting something like this?

Nerd Alert: Geeks gone bad

Nerd Alert: Geeks Gone Bad - Tamara Broome

...there are some real crazies out there. And they seem to be able to find you with alarming ease.

07/01/2007: An Australian woman was charged with attempting to abduct a child after trying to get her Internet boyfriend, 16 at the time, to accompany her to Adelaide, Australia. Tamara Broome (pictured,) 31, met the teenager on the online role-playing game World of Warcraft, and the two engaged in an Internet romance during which they discussed marriage. Broome flew to North Carolina, where the boy lived, telling her housemate that his parents had paid for her ticket so they could "sort it all out." She was arrested after stepping off an Amtrak train in South Carolina, jailed and held on a $2.35 million bond.

Video: Penn & Teller Bulls**t! tackles videogame violence

Ok, Penn & Teller: Bulls**t! is not exactly the highest on my list of shows to watch, but when it does it right, few shows on television or cable are better at pointing out the absurdity of most of today's cultural issues.

This particular episode covers videogame violence—rampant videogame violence if you listen to the likes of Jack Thompson or Hilary Clinton. Penn & Teller: Bulls**t! looks at the industry, the violent games and does a really good job of putting a sane face on some of the madness.

And thanks to YouTube, we are all able to watch what foolish Showtime subscribers pay to see. That is, until Showtime discovers that its content is available for free. So hurry up and watch it before it gets taken down.

Btw, this video is totally NSFW!

Retro Video: Banned Yoshi's Island commercial

Anyone else remember this Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island commercial?

This is what happens when Nintendo gets outside of its wheelhouse and tries to outdo its edgier competitors—it signs off on a commercial featuring a gross, exploding man. Did it sell the game? Hard to tell. All that happened for sure was that more than a few people were appalled by what they saw and demanded it be taken off the air.

It's funny because even by today's standards and the expanded waistlines of today's Americans, this would still be an offensive ad.

Enjoy!

Stephen Colbert unveils Microsoft's next console

It seems the writers for The Colbert Report, or perhaps even Stephen Colbert himself, were watching the Microsoft press conference at E3. And after watching the no doubt inspiring video for Project Natal, they came up with their own successor to the popular console.

Feel free to watch the entire thing, but the Xbox 360 talk doesn't start until the 1:40 mark.
