Game Critic
Born on a balmy July evening in 1980, Caleb Hale grew up in the small town
of Anna in southern Illinois. He was born again into the world of
videogames at age six, when his parents bought him a Nintendo Entertainment
System. Every year since then, at least one new videogame finds its place
under the Christmas tree or next to the birthday cake.
Aside from burning his retinas at the television screen, Caleb burns them
at the computer screen as a writer. His love for writing led him to major
in news/editorial journalism at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He
currently works for The Southern, the regional newspaper for southern
Illinois, as an editorial assistant and writer.
Caleb is preparing to settle down into married life, with his fiancee,
Theresa. He is also in the process of writing a manuscript for a novel,
which should encompass the next few years of his life. Caleb considers
writing for GameCritics.com a unique opportunity to present videogames as a
serious medium in the world of entertainment.
