Parents have nothing to worry about with the squeaky-clean Amped 2.

Snowboarders have a lot to be excited about, as Amped 2 is all about the real snowboarding experience and what it's like to rise through the ranks of the professional snowboarding world and garner sponsorships and media attention. There's a ton of video footage and interviews with professional riders including Seth Huot, Travis Parker, Jeremy Jones and Janna Meyen.

Fans of the SSX school will probably despise Amped 2 since the two games are like apples and oranges in all respects.

Fans of the Tony Hawk series will enjoy the new "snowskate" runs that feature a strapless board or "sk8" capable of doing kick flips and a whole new set of more skateboard-like moves.

Deaf and Hard of Hearing gamers aren't missing out on much except the lame surfer-dude remarks that the riders make and the mostly forgettable indie-rock soundtrack. The only time audio cues are actually helpful is when trying to find the eight hidden snowmen as part of the "Own the Mountain" challenges. They can be seen as well, but they also sing to help pinpoint their general location, and this is not subtitled in any way.
