In all seriousness though its great to see some new faces (Avatars?) floating around the place. And its great seeing new posts every day rather than once every few days.
Soooooo. All you guests, come play! We don't bite (Well Shun does sometimes, but we're training him up ) And welcome to all of the new members! This place is getting lively again and its great to see!
And now...I'm going back to the bar.

Re: New People, Please Introduce Yourselves
I didn't drink too much, I drank exactly the right amount to make me forget most of the night and wake up this afternoon with a killer headache and a fast food craving. I bloody love freshers week.

Re: New People, Please Introduce Yourselves
HI
DR.GAME@101 here. I'm here to prove that the PS2 will never die as long as you play awesome games. And that the PSP is a machine that's underated and it an amazing machine as long as you don't buy crappy games.
I have been made fun of because I don't have a PS3 but never slowed me down from showing everyone that PS2 and PSP are still cool. My goal is to become a game reviewer for IGN or Reviews on the Run (links below)
IGN: http://www.ign.com/
Reviews on the Run: http://www.reviewsontherun.com/
Notes:
- I'm not a Doctor
- I can't afford a PS3 so don't bother me

Hi,
My name is Ayush and I am from Zatun, a video game development company in India.
We have developed a 2D action adventure arcade game for PC titled – “ The Legend of Vraz ". This game was created using the Microsoft XNA framework and features an enthralling gameplay of 6-8 hours set in exotic locales.
We have our in-game videos and screenshots online at: http://zatungames.com/

Here's a marketing tip: introduce yourself to the community and participate in forums before pimping out your game. You'd get better results that way.

Re: New People, Please Introduce Yourselves
Hello, I've been browsing Gamecritics for a while, and have posted comments with the name Bryce (not my real name). I've been checking here often as it seems the only site with honest reviewers. I imagine the honesty has a lot to do with the mission of the reviews: state your personal opinion instead of trying to qualify what the masses should think of it. It seems an unpopular approach, though, from all the hate comments on reviews. I'm hoping to help the community where I can and possibly submit some reviews (Don't worry, my serious writing doesn't contain any parenthetical statements).
I have been a gamer since my parents brought King's Quest home for our new PC, though I didn't lock myself in the basement all night until the infamous Doom came out. I played that game, modded it, played it some more, dialed stranger's personal BBSs for an IPX emulator, then got banned from almost all of them for trash talking (Well, how else was I going to get a 3v1 going?). It is now 15 later, and thanks in part to crippling allergies that didn't go away until I was 18, I got in a lot of gaming, mostly PC. My career has nothing to with gaming (the common tie between my career and gaming is probably my restlessness), but gaming will always be my #1 indoor hobby. I find myself becoming incredibly hard to please after 20 years, though.

Re: New People, Please Introduce Yourselves
I'm guilty of lurking I guess.
Thanks to the Halo 3 review I stumbled over this site and thanks to the Halo 3 review and some others I read then I decided to stick around a bit. Because of the writing and since I felt it refreshing to see a site using other numbers than 8, 9 and 9,5 to rate games.
I'm currently only having a PC and a DS to play on, using it mainly for WoW and Professor Layton respectively. I'm still too cheap to buy a PS, not because the PS would be too expensive but because I don't have a TV, therefore I would have to buy one as well...
I live in the Netherlands and do my PhD in electrical engineering here (about 1 more year to go).
The whole doing PhD is the reason not buying a telly, since that would be a huge timesink for me and I'm already busy restraining myself from playing too much on the computer (I should cancel WoW again I guess).

Re: New People, Please Introduce Yourselves
Noob here from California. My roommates and I have a PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii. Clearly, we have an addiction.
I'm actually trying to cut down on my time gaming (gasp)...and so I joined this forum to hopefully learn how to choose how to spend my gaming time more wisely.
