Lost Winds Sequel Anyone?

Anybody else excited about the Lost Winds sequel? The first game is still one of the best examples of a WiiWare game. Glad they're finally putting out a follow-up.

I know I am. There hasn't been anything said about this game since it was first released (or I haven't been paying attention), and I was starting to think it would become another one of those forgotten gems that never got the sequel it deserved. A guaranteed day one download for me.

Has anybody heard how long the series is gonna go on for? I imagine we've got at least two more (one for each season, this one being winter), but i'm not sure anything has been set in stone yet.

While I always take IGN's incredibly too long reviews with a grain of salt, I am glad to have skimmed through the UK review of Lost Winds 2. This will be $10 quickly, and gladly, spent.

Re: Lost Winds Sequel Anyone?

Anybody else download Winter of Melodias yet? I've put in about 20-30 minutes and loving what I'm playing. All the moves from the first iteration are here and so far I've come across one new move early in the game. Lost Winds still uses the Wii-mote better than most games out there. Also digging the new settings, scenery, and characters I've encountered so far.

So, anyone else?

I was in the same boat. The game came out this Monday and I was unaware until Thursday.

Gaming media does a really poor job covering downloadable games. I bet there are a bunch of great titles out there that I will never even know about.

Re: Lost Winds Sequel Anyone?

Just beat the game with almost all of the idols (40/48). If you are a fan of the original, you shouldn't be disappointed. There is enough variety here to not feel as if you are playing the same game over again. Plus, you don't have to re-learn the moves you learned from the first game. Well worth the $10.

More thoughts to follow.
